Description:I am the owner of a small sushi restaurant, Sushi Deli, located on Washington St. near the corner of 1st St., in Mission Hills. For the past 3 year’s I have been attempting to have the city correct the storm water drainage system to no avail. During heavy rains the runoff can easily reach 1 foot deep, flooding not only my store but also others on the north side of Washington. Customers and local residents are unable to use the sidewalk, let alone cross the street. Recently the city saw fit to install new ADA compliant sidewalk ramps and for some reason capped off the only storm drain in our area. Today I find the city has posted the north side of Washington as a no parking zone during “Rain Events.” It would be greatly appreciated, if you could find your way to assist us with this issue.
